Bone and Muscle LossA natural decline in estrogen levels during menopause can cause bone density to decrease. On average, women lose up to 10% of their bone mass in the first five years after menopause. A decrease in free testosterone levels during menopause can contribute to accelerated muscle mass loss.
Increased Anxiety and Stressmenopause can increase anxiety and stress due to a number of factors, including hormonal changes, sleep disturbances, and life changes. During perimenopause, estrogen levels fluctuate erratically, and when estrogen levels drop, cortisol levels can rise. Hot flashes and night sweats can disrupt sleep and affect mood.

You don’t need to keep up with the teacher’s pace; feel proud of doing fewer reps if that’s what it takes. The goal is to master the movements with smooth, steady control before speeding up. Over time, your body will get used to our unique moves. Each class is different, but the actions are repetitive, so you’ll always feel progress without plateauing or getting bored. Stick with it—you’ve got this!
